Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP” or “Policy”) sets the rules for using slapz — both the prompts you give the AI and the content and conduct you bring to the service. It applies to everyone who uses the slapz apps, web links, and related services (the “Service”), and forms part of our Terms of Service and End User License Agreement. We keep it short and specific.
1. About this Policy
slapz is an AI music-creation app. You describe a song; slapz generates an original instrumental and AI-written lyrics for you; you can then record your own vocal over it, combine and master it, save it to your library, and optionally share it via a web link or perform it in a live or duet session. Violating this AUP is a material breach of our Terms of Service and a basis for the enforcement actions in Section 8 — up to and including suspension or termination of your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required where you live) to use slapz; age is self-attested at sign-up.
2. Core principles
When you use slapz, you agree that:
- The AI generates original music and lyrics for you. slapz is not a tool for reproducing, extracting, or imitating existing copyrighted recordings, songs, or artists.
- You are responsible for the prompts you submit, the vocals you record, and anything you share.
- You will not use slapz to harm, deceive, harass, or exploit other people, or to break the law.
- You will not abuse the generation system or attempt to defeat its limits, costs, or safety controls.
3. Prohibited prompts and generated content
slapz's value and its legal posture both depend on the AI producing original, AI-generated output. You must not use prompts, themes, lyrics, style descriptions, or any other input to make the Service reproduce, clone, or closely imitate protected third-party work. Specifically, you must not:
- Ask the AI to clone or imitate a named artist, band, producer, or rights-holder. Do not prompt for “a song that sounds exactly like a named artist,” for a named artist's voice, signature, or vocal likeness, or otherwise direct the model to replicate a specific identifiable performer's identity or sound.
- Ask the AI to reproduce a specific copyrighted song or recording. Do not submit the lyrics, melody, or a request to recreate, “remake,” or “copy” an existing copyrighted composition or sound recording, in whole or in substantial part.
- Submit third-party copyrighted material as a prompt or seed that you do not have the right to use, in an attempt to have the Service generate a derivative of it.
- Attempt to extract, reconstruct, or capture copyrighted source recordings through the Service — including any attempt to recover, isolate, or rebuild a third-party master or stem from a prompt, or to repurpose slapz's combine/master pipeline to that end. slapz does not extract or host third-party recordings; this prohibition forbids you from trying to make it do so.
4. Prohibited content
You must not create, record, combine, store, share, perform, or transmit content through slapz — whether in a prompt, in AI-generated lyrics you direct, in your recorded vocal, in a shared track, in a username, or in any session — that:
- Sexually exploits or endangers minors. Child sexual abuse or exploitation material (“CSAE”), and any content that sexualizes a minor, is absolutely prohibited and will be removed, the account terminated, and reported to the appropriate authorities (for example, NCMEC) as required by law.
- Is hateful or promotes violence. Content that promotes or incites hatred, violence, or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic; or that promotes or glorifies terrorism or violent extremism.
- Is unlawful. Content that is illegal, that promotes or facilitates illegal activity, or that violates the rights (including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights) of any third party.
- Is sexually explicit or obscene in a manner prohibited by our Terms of Service and applicable app-store rules, or that depicts non-consensual sexual content.
- Harasses, threatens, defames, or bullies any person, or targets an individual with abuse.
- Impersonates another person, artist, brand, or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity — including using another person's name, likeness, or voice in a deceptive way.
- Is deceptive or fraudulent — including misinformation designed to cause harm, scams, phishing, or content that falsely presents AI-generated material as a real recording of an identifiable person without disclosure.
- Contains malware or any code, links, or files intended to harm, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
AI-generated content must be disclosed. Music and lyrics generated by slapz are AI-generated. You must not strip, hide, or misrepresent that disclosure when you share or distribute slapz output, and you must not pass off AI-generated content as an authentic human or artist recording in a misleading way.
5. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Harass or harm others through shared tracks, links, or sessions. Do not use a shared web link, live session, or duet to harass, threaten, dox, defame, or abuse any person, or to distribute prohibited content to them.
- Impersonate slapz staff, another user, or any third party — including via your username (reserved and impersonating handles are not permitted) or shared content.
- Circumvent blocks, reports, bans, or moderation. Do not evade a block, create accounts to evade a suspension or termination, or interfere with the Service's safety and moderation systems.
- Attempt to access, scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract other users' content, the AI models, the generation/combine/master pipeline, or any non-public part of the Service, except as permitted by the Terms of Service.
- Probe, jailbreak, or defeat the AI's safety controls to produce prohibited content listed in Sections 3 and 4.
6. Abuse of the generation and cost systems
slapz generation runs on paid AI and GPU infrastructure, with per-account quotas and rate limits (see our Terms of Service and subscription terms). You must not:
- Exceed, evade, or attempt to defeat your generation quota or rate limits, or use multiple or automated accounts to obtain generation capacity you are not entitled to.
- Automate, script, or bulk-submit generation, lyrics, combine, master, or render requests, or otherwise drive load in a way that abuses the Service or imposes disproportionate cost.
- Resell, share, or commercially exploit your generation access or output except as expressly permitted by your plan and the content-license terms in the Terms of Service.
- Deliberately drive infrastructure cost — for example by repeatedly triggering expensive operations to degrade the Service or burden slapz.
slapz enforces per-account rate limits and a cost guard. Hitting a limit returns a normal “limit reached” response and is not, by itself, a violation; attempting to evade or abuse those limits is.
7. Reporting, blocking, and copyright complaints
If you encounter content or conduct that violates this AUP:
- Report and block. Use the in-app Report and Block controls to report a user, a shared track, or a session, and to block a user from further interaction with you. Reports are reviewed by slapz, and we act on credible reports of objectionable content — removing it and, where warranted, suspending or terminating the responsible account — within 24 hours.
- Copyright (DMCA). If you believe content on slapz infringes your copyright, send a notice to dmca@slapz.ai (our designated agent). slapz operates a notice-and-takedown process and a repeat-infringer policy.
- Other abuse. Report hateful, illegal, exploitative, or harassing content via the in-app Report control or at support@slapz.ai. Reports of child sexual exploitation are escalated and reported as required by law.
Sharing on slapz is owner-initiated via web link. Blocking and reporting apply to the people and content you are exposed to — shared links, live and duet sessions, and any cross-user surfaces that are enabled.
8. Enforcement
slapz may take any action it considers appropriate, in its discretion and as permitted by our Terms of Service, when it determines this AUP has been or may be violated. Depending on the severity, frequency, and nature of the violation, actions may include, in escalating order:
- Warning or notice to the user.
- Removal, takedown, or disabling of the offending content, share link, or session.
- Feature, quota, or session suspension — for example, suspending sharing, hosting, or generation access.
- Account suspension.
- Account termination under the Terms of Service, including loss of access to the Service and, where applicable, deletion of associated content (subject to the account-deletion and data-retention terms).
Zero-tolerance categories. Violations involving child sexual exploitation, credible threats of violence, or other unlawful content may result in immediate removal and termination without prior warning, and reporting to law enforcement or the appropriate authorities as required by law. Escalation need not be sequential, and slapz may skip steps where warranted.
Enforcement under this AUP is in addition to, and does not limit, any other rights or remedies slapz has under the Terms of Service or at law. Termination for an AUP violation does not entitle you to a refund except as required by applicable law or app-store policy.
9. Changes to this Policy
slapz may update this AUP from time to time, and will revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated as described in our Terms of Service, and your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
