Beats on demand

Describe a beat.
Then get on it.

Say what it should sound like and slapz makes the instrumental. Rap or sing over it, send it to a friend to jump on, or put it up and let the whole app swing at the same beat.

How it works

Say it. Get on it. Put it up.

01

Describe the beat

Type what it should sound like — the genre, the mood, the instruments, the room, the year, how fast it moves. slapz composes the instrumental. No sample pack, no crate digging, no licence to chase.

02

Get on the mic

Write your bars in the app or go off the top, then record straight over the beat. slapz times your voice to it and mixes the two together.

03

Put it up

Send the beat to a friend and hear what they do with it, or open it to everyone and let hearts pick who got on it best.

Beats on demand

Describe it. It knocks.

Say what you want to hear and slapz composes the instrumental — original music, not a sample lifted off somebody else's record. It is yours to rap over, post and keep.

  • Trap, drill, R&B — beats that knock
  • Original music, never a sample
  • Yours to post and keep
Send it to a friend

Pass the beat. See what they do.

Pick somebody, pick the beat, send it. It lands in their Callouts and they get on the same instrumental you were on. They can pass, and nothing is lost.

  • Send any beat to anyone on slapz
  • They record their own part over it
  • No group call, no scheduling
Challenges

Same beat. Everybody swings.

Every week slapz puts up challenges anyone can enter — one beat, one rule, and a closing date. Or start your own on a beat you made and open it to the crew or to everyone.

  • This week's boards, open to everyone
  • Or start your own on any beat you made
  • Hearts pick the winner
Listen back

Hear it the way you made it.

Every song plays with the words moving under it, so you can follow the line you are on. Flip between the original and your own versions, or hear the voice on its own.

  • Words that follow the song
  • Your versions, side by side
  • The full mix, or just the voice
Who it's for

Made for the way you make.

01
The first single

No studio. No label.

Describe a beat into existence, get on the mic, and slapz mixes your voice into it. Nobody else's instrumental, so there is nothing for anyone to pull down.

02
The group chat

The beat goes around.

Send the same instrumental to three people and see what comes back. Everybody hears the same knock and nobody sounds the same on it.

03
The battle

Settle it on the beat.

Put a beat up, open it to the crew, and let hearts do the arguing. Same instrumental, same rule, one winner.

04
The writer

Bars with nowhere to go.

You have verses in your notes app and nothing under them. Describe the beat you have been hearing, drop the bars in, and finally hear them land.

Questions

Good to know.

Do I need to be able to rap?

No. slapz makes the beat and mixes your voice into it, and there are singing challenges as well as rapping ones. Whatever range you have got is the right range.

Is the beat really mine?

Yes. slapz composes the instrumental from your description — no samples, no copies — and what you record over it is yours to post and to keep.

What if I have nothing written?

Write the words in the app, or go off the top. One of the standing challenges is built for exactly that: no pen, no pad, no second pass.

How do challenges work?

One beat, one rule, one closing date. Anyone on slapz can enter the open boards, and hearts pick the winner. Everybody is on the same instrumental, so it is the performance being judged.

Can I run one just for my friends?

Yes. When you put a beat up you choose how it runs: keep it to yourself, send it to the people you are connected to, or open it to anyone with the link.

Do I need a good microphone?

No — your phone is fine. Headphones help, because they keep the beat out of the microphone while you record.
